"A Form of Prayer and Thanksgiving to Almighty God commended by the Archbishops of Cantebury and York for general use on Wednesday, the 12th Day of May, 1937 being the day of the Coronations of their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in the Abbey Church of St. Peter, Westminter."

A procession walked to the Palmerston North Showgrounds, where a religous service was held, followed by a 21 gun salute, on 12 May 1937. It was organised by the Palmerston North City Council to celebrate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
