Norman Henry Nash

Mr Norman Henry Nash was a son of Norman Nash, a ropemaker of Foxton. He entered the Newspaper business and in 1903 became a part-owner of the "Manawatu Evening Standard". He eventually purchased the interest of his partner, Mr John Coombe and became full owner of the paper. His descendants still hold a controlling interest in this business until 1981. He was a brother of James Alfred Nash, Mayor of Palmerston North and member of Parliament for many years. Mr Nash dies in 1937.
