The Palmerston North Intermediate School was opened in 1941. It is situated at 56 Linton Street.

Everybody's Picture Theatre was built in Coleman Place in 1913 by Arthur Hopwood, who leased the land. It had seating for about 700 people and ran as a picture theatre for almost 16 years. All-day shows were the rule, commencing at 1pm and ending at 10pm with the picture programmes being repeated several times. It was remodelled as the “Hotel Midland” in 1928, which operated under the license from the Occidental Hotel which burnt down in 1927. Much of the Hotel was demolished in 1965-1966.

The Milson Aerodromme opened in 1931, and in a commercial service by Union Airways began15 January 1936.

Papaioea Park is situated on the corner of Ruahine Street (formerly Terrace Street) and Featherston Streets. The land was acquired by the City Council circa 1921 -1922 and is about 9 acres in size. The fence still exists around the park today (2020).

The camping ground was established in 1925, adjacent to the Victoria Esplanade. It is now called the Palmerston North Holiday Park.

Overall plan of the Soldiers' Club Building, dated 1916. Built on the corner of Cuba and George Streets for the Manawatu Patriotic Society and completed in 1917 to a design from the firm of L G West & Son. The building was used by the Returned and Services Association until 1966 when it was sold to a private owner. Currently it houses Cafe Cuba on the ground floor whose outdoor tables can be seen occupying the footpath along Cuba Street. The building is well preserved and contains many of the original design features including cast iron columns along the verandah.
