This photograph shows the front window of Collinson and Son Ltd, complete with a display highlighting their range of fine china and crystal bowls, vases, glasses and carafes. The 1951 telephone directory lists their address as "Broadway & Kingsway"

Philips light bulbs display in the shop window of Turnbull & Jones Electrical. This store was on the Square until the 1960's when it moved to Cuba Street. It was closed in the 1980's.

This shop appears to belong to a tailor. The sign above begins "Temperan" and "188", perhaps indicating the shop name and date of establishment. Or the building could be something to do with the Temperance Society.
