War memorial and clock tower, The Square

The war memorial was built in The Square in 1926, to honour those who died in WWI. the clocktower was built in 1955 from a bequest to the city from Arthur Hopwood.

War Memorial, Memorial Park

The War Memorial, dedicated to those who died in World War I and World War II, was opened in 1952 at what was then called Fitzroy Park. It was renamed Memorial Park in 1954.
