Peter Apthorp, Palmerston North's Town Clerk

Mr Apthorp joined the Palmerston North City Corporation as Deputy Town Clerk in 1963 from the Nelson Harbour Board. Peter was appointed as Town Clerk in 1974 (on the retirement of Mr A. M. P. Hall) until his retirement in 1989. He died 23 May 2009.
