This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 25th March, 1963. "A Foxton couple, Mr and Mrs D. R. Barron, are celebrating their golden wedding today. Since taking up residence in Foxton 39 years ago, both have taken and still take to a lesser extent full and active participation in the church, community, civic, cultural and social life of the town."
