An architectural plan prepared by Bruce Herbes in 1983, showing proposed additions to the First Church of Christ, Scientist building, 409 Church Street, which was originally constructed in 1933. These additions were never made. Herbes's designs were intended to "express the openness of the Church towards the community" by using a large area of glass. The original portico was to be "preserved to create grandness within the Church walls."
