This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 19 August 1969. The caption was illegible, but the negative packet reads, "Foyer of the Cosmopolitan Club". At the time, the Cosmopolitan Club (or "Cossie Club") was located in Taonui Street. Those premises are still standing and bear the club's name, but the club itself has moved to Linton Street. The men in the photograph are unidentified.
