This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 26 January, 1959. "Misses J. Atkinson, M. Gerrand, G. Webber and L. Child, members of the Palmerston North Women's Surf Life-Saving Club, gave a practical demonstration of the Holger-Nielsen method of resuscitation in The Square gardens today in an effort to encourage public interest in modern methods of artificial resuscitation."
