Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 August 1961 "Guiding younger cricketers in morning coaching classes at the Palmerston North Boys' High School is Mr. J.S. Boldt. He is passing on valuable knowledge to his pupils which he received in Christchurch last season from the English professional M.J. Bear -- About a dozen third form boys of the school are attending the cricket coaching run on the M.C.C. lines which resembles Army cadets as numbers are called as each movement is made. The picture shows B. Klee playing a forward defensive stroke with Mr. Boldt guiding his young charge."
