This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 6th January 1966 "One member of the public who is interested in the activities of the Lifesaving Club, and is accordingly grateful, is Mr. R. de Cleene, who is seen presenting the Mayor (Mr. G.M. Rennie) with a further contribution towards the running of the club. [Mr. Pinker (on the right) is the proprietor of the Longburn Motor Garage, where the exchange happened.]"
