The women in this photograph are Vera Cox (left), who married John Boman, and Vera Burr who married Courtney McLennan. After Vera Boman (née Cox) and Courtney McLennan had passed away, the two surviving partners - Vera McLennan (née Burr) and John Boman - married one another.
This was the home of Mr and Mrs A K Drew. Alfred Kingsley Drew (c.1882-1953) married Elsie Gordon Flyger in April 1908. He served as County Clerk for the Manawatū County Council for 43 years, until his retirement in 1950. Their house, Brooklynne, is located at 8 Farmer Street, Sanson.
