Local History Week 2020 - Terrace End Cemetery by Twilight

Terrace End Cemetery Tour hosted by Tina White and Leanne Hickman, part of the 13th Local History Week 2020. The photo above shows a monument to the Hickey family which originally had fine stained glass panels which were vandalised. John Joseph Hickey (died 1920) was a bricklayer, Joseph Timothy (died 1950) was a clerk. Maurice (died 1921) was a pound keeper for the Palmerston North Borough Council and Michael (died 1963) was an undertaker. Also remembered on this site is Mary Kirkpatrick (nee Hickey) who was killed in Hastings during the Hawkes Bay earthquake on 3 Feb 1931.
