This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 1 August, 1959. "The Manawatu Kennel Club gave a lead to dog-lovers this morning through the dosing against hydatids of the two show dogs belonging to the president of the club (Mr H. S. Lusk). Here one of the dogs is being held by the club's secretary (Mr G. R. Ramshaw) while Mr Heawood, of the Department of Agriculture, administers the dose."
