Peke atu ki ngā rauemi
Description

The 'Upper' Gorge bridge, near Woodville, was completed in 1875, replacing the ford that had allowed access to the Manawatu Gorge road constructed in 1872. It, in turn, was replaced by a two-way bridge in 1931.
