This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 6th December 1965 "Friday was Joanne Looney's fifth birthday, and on Saturday she was the first to post her letter to Father Christmas after the unveling in the Square. Here is Joanne after she had made sure her letter was really in the box. Dozens of other excited youngsters were anxiously waiting with their letters."
