This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 May, 1963. "Four members of the Friday evening's gymnastics class, D. Mullane, J. Rowberry, M. Todd, and H. Smith, go through their paces on the parallel bars at the Y. M.C.A. hall. A class of 60 boys are going through a programme of leadership which involves gymnastics, team games, club programmes and tournaments, both at city and national level."
