This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29th March, 1963. "With a large gathering filling the Y.W.C.A. Hall in Church Street to capacity, a presentation ceremony was held last night to mark the retirement of Mr F. M. Doig, the district electrical engineer of the New Zealand Electricity Department. At the start of the evening Mr Doig was piped into the hall by a piper of the Manawatu Scottish Society (Mr B. A. Morrow)."
