"Rangitoto & Rangitane - One Class Accommodation"
More Info →- Description
-
Rangitoto and Rangitane were New Zealand Shipping Company ocean liners that voyaged between Great Britain and New Zealand via the Panama canal. Outbound sailings from London mainly carried emigrants moving to New Zealand, whereas the northern voyages largely carried tourists and reverse migrants, with the cargo holds filled with refrigerated lamb and other exports. Rangitoto was built in 1949 by Vickers-Armstrongs of Newcastle, England. Rangitane was built in 1950 by John Brown & Co, Clydebank, Scotland. Both ships were sold in the late 1960s and scrapped in 1976.
