Lads at the Esplanade
- Description
-
This image is believed to have been taken by Palmerston North Engineer Edwin Daniel Berry or his son Frank. It depicts a group of friends or brothers, two older and three younger, who appear in several images in the Berry Family collection. One of the younger boys may be youngest Berry child, Zenas Jefferson Berry, born 1906.
The un-uniformed older boy is likely an apprentice at Berry Engineering. The Soldier is wearing the uniform of the Medical Corp which trained at Awapuni race course during World War One.
