'Greenlea', on Mt. Bigg’s Road, Halcombe was built by H L Cornfoot, for his son. The house, covering an area of 1830 square metres, was built in 1908 of heart rimu. For a time in the early 1960s the house was a school for about 24 boys. Photograph published in the Manawatu Evening Standard 31 July 1976.
