Municipal Library and Shops
- Description
A new two-storey library, with shops on the street frontage was built by the Palmerston North Borough Council in 1929. It was the first purpose library in Palmerston North, and remained in use until a subsequent library was opened on the corner of Main Street and The Square in 1965.
