This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 22 July, 1963. "The Manawatu Trustee Savings Bank was away to a good start this morning. At 10.15 a.m. A queue had formed ready with their deposit slips. The teller at the Bank of New Zealand, on the corner of the Square on Rangitikei Street, was prepared for a busy day to cope with the large number of depositors expected."
