"Valuable Prize to Taikorea School"

This image was not published in the Manawatu Evening Standard, taken on 30 July, 1963. "Two proud children yesterday were H. Smith (left) and G. Smith, of the Taikorea School, as they receive the Craig Cup. Presenting the cup (valued at £280) was the chairman of the Wanganui Education Board (Mr A. M. Gordon). This cup is presented each year to the leading school in calf club and agriculture plot work in the Manawatu-Oruoa district." Another image of the group was published 30 July, 1963.
