"The winners of the President's Shield and the Craig Cup are the Manawatu senior A basketball team pictured after the presentation of trophies by Mrs H. H. Craig following the knock-out tournament held at the Intermediate School courts on Saturday. The team is (from left): B. Steffensen (captain), M. Austin, B. Pyne, J. Bailey, S. Gunn, D. Brown and S. Munro. Absent from the photograph are M. Hurley, M. Dowling and J. Crozier. Mrs H. H. Craig is on the extreme right."
