Description

Ashhurst School opened in September 1879, with Mr F Whibley as the temporary head teacher. The first permanent head teacher was Mr Alfred Gower (c.1880-1887).
This image is derived from a copy negative made from a photograph that was loaned for copying. The original photographic print is not held by the Ian Matheson City Archives.
