Massey University Archives
- Description
Massey University’s Archives was established in 1986 as the guardian of the university’s historical material.
Among its holdings are the public archives of the university and its predecessor institutions, such as Massey Agricultural College, Palmerston North College of Education and the Wellington Polytechnic.
In addition to these official records, the Archives also preserves the archival records of students’ associations, clubs, societies, staff and other individuals.
The Archives also serves as a home for archival material of New Zealand individuals, businesses and community and cultural organisations. It currently has the largest collection of business records associated with New Zealand dairy companies and covers the North Island and the South Island.
Located in the Practical Teaching Complex, the Archives is open to the public on weekdays.
