"Royal Show Lambs on the Hook"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 November, 1959. “A judge of many such meat displays, Mr H. Williamson, of Hawke’s Bay, a New Zealand Meat Board grader, scrutinises the Royal Show lambs as they pass the scales on the hook at the Longburn Freezing works yesterday. Mr Williamson said that the standard of the 21 lambs selected for exhibition in London were excellent, with good body structure and a minimum of outer fat.” Other photos associated with this article were published November, 1959.
