This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 November, 1959. “A judge of many such meat displays, Mr H. Williamson, of Hawke’s Bay, a New Zealand Meat Board grader, scrutinises the Royal Show lambs as they pass the scales on the hook at the Longburn Freezing works yesterday.
