The two horse brake on the right of the photo delivered mail between Raumai and Delaware Flat. Mr Michael Enright had the contract first and his son Dan drove the brake. A Post Office was established at Piripiri and later was moved across the river to Delaware Flat. This photograph was taken on Delaware Flat, south of Takapari Junction. The house in the centre background was built by Whibley and was situated on the south side of the Takapari Road. L to R: Michael Enright, with white beard; possibly Jack Jarvis or Edwards; Dan Enright, with reins, Jack Enright.
