The Manawatu BMX Club opened a new 270 metre track at Vautier Park on Sunday, 14 March 1982. The new track is set in a natural amphitheatre, so it provides total track viewing for all spectators. Wayne was the Manawatu 15 year old group champion and is shown here on the new track.
