This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 15 May 1958, page 10: "The twenty-seven members of the Morton Mains branch of the Southland Federated Farmers who are at present making a tour of the central portion of the North Island. They are seen prior to making a tour of the Grasslands Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research today."
