"Esplanade Glasshouse Popular"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 3 January, 1964. "Looking a picture of beauty at this time of the year is the Peter Black conservatory at the Esplanade. Greeting the visitor just inside is this Bougainvillea Killie Campell (right), a pink coloured climber. Other lovely plants in bloom are the Gloxinia, the calcoelaria and the begonias."
