Mrs Sarah Ann Linton, nee kibblewhite (1852-1916) was the wife of James Linton, second Mayor of Palmerston North. They married in 1869 and had eleven children. In 1871 they moved to Palmerston North, where they were said to have built the first boarding house, run by Sarah, in Terrace End. The Lintons moved to Australia in 1897.
