Description

This photograph shows the cellar in the middle distance and looks towards Palmerston North. The wooden tower on the right is a temporary structure, built for elevating the concrete that would be poured. In the left foreground can be seen two men making wooden chutes to pour the concrete. Pictured is W A Smith, son of ‘Brum’ and Jack Stevens is the hatless man in a white shirt on the truck, other man unknown. Child Bothers provided the metal for building, getting it from the riverbank at Bachelor’s.
