More Info →127 Savage Crescent

The donor's family moved into this house in Savage Crescent on Christmas Eve 1939. This photograph was taken about six months later, with fences and gardens established. Saavge Crescent was developed by the Government as state housing 1937-1944. It remains as an excellent example of early state housing in New Zealand.
