A group of men working on the construction of the Ashhurst School Pool, which was officially opened in February 1958. This was built with voluntary labour. The photograph shows the walls being erected. In the foreground of the photograph, from left: John Peck; Rob Currie; Brian Pegler (school teacher); Jake Cresswell (school chairman); Eric Muldrock (postmaster?); Ernest King (Clerk of Works), backview with brances.
