Description

This postcard was sent in December 1906. The Mangatainoka River flows along the eastern side of the Tararua Ranges, from its source south of Putara to the north of the Mangatainoka township where it joins with the Tiraumea River and then they converge with the Manawatu River, east of Ngawwapuru Road and railway bridges. The Manawatu River at this point is quite some miles from the Manawatu Gorge.
