Roe, B.E.M, a member of the Scots Guards for 26 years and pipe-major of the band for 15 years, is pictured here. Pipe-Major Roe gained fame during the Second World War by shooting down a German Army reconnaissance aircraft with a twin bren gun in Norway in 1940. ..." See newspaper for rest of the story.
