The Bull family on board the Aristomenis
- Description
-
This image is believed to have been taken by Palmerston North Engineer Frank (Frances Leslie) Berry or his father Edwin Berry who was at the time a missionary in Suva.
The Aristomenes was commissioned to take scrap metal to Chile in 1947: https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/CHBP19470419.2.23.14 It would have passed through Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Niue delivering mail.
Few passengers were onboard, therefore it is likely this image depicts Mr A. C. Bull (35, Missionary), his wife M. C. Bull (24, originally from Brazil) and their three-year-old son M. C. Bull (also born in Brazil).
