"Rosewood" Hostel, Feilding

Description

This hostel for intellectually handicapped people was opened on 15 August 1981 by Mr Ged Corrick, then Mayor of Feilding. The hostel catered for eight people as well as accommodation for full-time staff. Mrs Gail Hill was the first resident supervisor. Originally a private home in North Street, $130,000 was spent altering the house to become a hostel.
