The laying of five chains of concrete road on Rangitikei Line, near the corner of Boundary Road (now Tremaine Ave). This view looks east towards Palmerston North with the Boundary Road intersection in the distance. George Craw from Linton is standing second from right. He undertook to lay this length of road for 30 pounds per chain for the Kairanga County Council. Harry Mouldey (a carpenter employed on Craw's farm) is standing on the right of the screen (with hat and hand on left knee). The other men are unidentified.
