These premises - at 129 Main Street, opposite the old Railway station and next to the garage on the Cook Street corner - belonged to the Tiratu Sawmilling Company and Coal and Timber Merchants from 1920 until c.1930, when the Tiratu Co. was taken over by S. Rush and Company, Wood and Coal Merchants. S. Rush & Co., moved to Tremaine Avenue in 1964, where they were again near the new Railway station. The business closed in 1976.
