The official charter, conferred by the city of Palmerston North on Linton Military Camp. The charter allows Linton Camp to march through the streets of Palmerston North "on all ceremonial occasions, with bayonets fixed, colours flying, drums beating and bands playing".

The charter is signed by the then Mayor, Geoffrey Tremaine, and Town Clerk, Peter Hall. It also bears the official stamp of the city.
