This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 13 May, 1959. "Golf instruction was given to secondary school children from the Manawatu area today. The instruction was given by Mr G. Hudson, the Palmerston North Club professional, and Mr D. D. Beard. The lessons will consist of four two-hour classes this week and one morning on the golf course. The classes are being sponsored by the New Zealand Golf Council."
