Colour Postcard of Crowds Walking Down Main Street West
- Description
The only clearly distinguishable building in this postcard is the Central Hotel and the Manawatu Land Agency nearby. The Central Hotel was built in the 1890s on the corner of Andrew Young Street and Main Street (having relocated from The Square). The business continued until 1969. The other prominent feature is the railway yards, visible on the left.
