Description

The first Longburn School opened in 1877 in Reserve Road. In 1910 the building was moved to its present site in Carey Street, Longburn. A new school was built and opened in 1922. Although the 70th Anniversary was in 1947, the Jubilee was held across three days in 1949: Saturday 29th January, Sunday 30th January and Monday 31st January.
