Description

A public transport bus travels along Main Street to The Square. A Municipal Passenger Bus service began in Palmerston North in 1921. There have been 3 Commercial Hotels on this site, on the corner of The Square. The first, built in 1881, was replaced by the building seen in the photograph, which was subsequently replaced by a third building in 1935.
