Mauriceville is a small settlement establisghed largely by Scandinavians in the Seventy Mile Bush area of Wairarapa. The Mauriceville County Councillors were in 1902: C. Churchill Jackson, Chairman; C. Forsborg; H.J. Dagg; F.W.H. Kummer; J.C. Cooper; J.F. Hockler; E. Pedersen.
