A group of about 35 recruits pose in the grandstand of the Awapuni Racecourse. This was home to one of New Zealand’s largest training camps in World War One, and was the sole location for training the New Zealand Medical Corps staff. The inscription on the reverse reads: "This is a snap of some of us at our sleeping quarters. You’ll pick me easily enough
Awapuni MC
